NZ Open Water Championships - Taupō 2025

Congratulations to Keshia and Nia Linyard who competed at the National Open Water Championships and Banana Boat Ocean Series held in Taupō on the 11th and 12th of January.

In the 2.5 km Championship Nia placed 7th in the 13-14 Girls and Keshia was 16th in the 15 - 17 year old girls. On the Sunday, Nia was 5th in the 13-14 Girls 5 km race and Keshia competed in the 1 km Ocean Series race and was fourth female overall and 2nd female in the 16 - 19 year age group.

Massive congratulations to ex Tasman Swimmer Abbey Smale who won the women’s open 10 km and was 2nd in the 5 km championship the following day. A superb effort Abbey!
