Swimming NZ have provided some updates regarding the competition pathway overview and changes to SNZ events from 2023. They have also announced the dates and venues for the 2023 and 2024 SNZ Event Calendar. Please take the time to read through each update as they link together from 1 to 5.
Development Meets
Racing opportunity with a focus on fun
No disqualifications
No requirement for technical sign-off
Results still uploaded to SNM database
Possible coach support
Results can be used as qualifying times for school/club events, regional championships and Junior Festival only.
Results can’t be used for National Championships, NAGS, Opens, NZ Short Course etc.
SNM plan approx. 4 Development meets in coming year – XLR8, Hot 100s etc
Designated Meets
Provide the opportunity for swimmers to gain qualifying times for National competitions.

Tasman Club AGM and Prize Giving
You’re warmly invited to our Annual Prizegiving and AGM on Friday, 13th September 2:30PM at the Saxton Football Pavilion.
Following the AGM, we’ll celebrate our swimmers’ achievements with awards and certificates. Please bring a plate to share so we can enjoy a relaxed afternoon tea together afterwards.
We are also seeking nominations for the following roles:

All other committee positions are also open if you’d like to get involved.
Swimmers, siblings, and whānau are all welcome. We’ve arranged a special treat 🍨 for the kids to enjoy during the AGM so come along and join us in celebrating a fantastic year together!

South Island Short Course Championships
Swimming Nelson Marlborough, along with our host club Blenheim Swim Club are delighted to bring you this years South Island Short Course Championships, being held at Stadium 2000 from 22nd - 24th August 2025.
Entries to the meet open tomorrow morning at 6:00am, 1st May and close midnight 14th August 2025 - LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!
This competition is designed to give all registered Swimming NZ members aged 12 years and over a short course racing opportunity, with the purpose of crowning South Island Champions.

Hot 100s Top of the South Meet
Next Top of the South Meet is on 15th June, and it will be a Hot 100s.
It will also have some 25M races so that we can include non-competitive swimmers.
Entries close 5th June.
